MACIE ROLLINS
I’m a multidisciplinary artist based in Norfolk, VA, creating bold, sculptural art that blends form, color, and material to create striking, dimensional pieces. My practice is rooted in design and experimentation - merging tufting, painting, sculptural framing, and light to push traditional media into unfamiliar, playful territory.
Shape and color are central to my work- creating rhythm, tension, and interaction across layered, tactile surfaces. Through unexpected material combinations, the visual systems I build invite sensory engagement and challenge traditional ideas of what materials can do. They’re meant to be fun, eye-catching and expand the language of fiber-based and two-dimensional practices.
